Rahul Gandhi asserts that the ‘Politics Of Hatred’ of the BJP have burned Manipur 2023

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the BJP-led central government on Thursday, claiming that its anti-Semitic policies and animosity had torched Manipur and that an all-party delegation is necessary to end the cycle of violence.

Gandhi stated in a tweet that the BJP’s “politics of hatred” had caused more than a hundred deaths and scorched Manipur for more than forty days. He added that the prime minister has failed India by remaining silent.

A cross-party delegation must be despatched to the state in order to end the cycle of bloodshed and restore tranquility. Let’s conclude this “Nafrat ka Bazaar” and begin “Mohabbat ki Dukaan” in the hearts of every Manipuri.

‘Politics Of Hatred’

According to Zee News, Priyanka Gandhi, general secretary of the Congress, described the state’s circumstances as distressing, stating, “The situation in Manipur is very distressing, and it is deeply disheartening to see that the Central government is not taking immediate action to ensure the safety of the people of Manipur and the restoration of peace.”

In response to reports of new violence in the northeastern state, which has been on fire since May 3 of this year, congressional leaders issued statements.

Several tens of thousands of people have been displaced, more than 349 relief centers have been established, and more than 100 people have perished. In a new act of violence, perpetrators set fire to Nemcha Kipgen’s official residence in the Lamphel neighborhood of Imphal West district on Wednesday.

Kipgen, the only female minister in the state, was not present when her official residence was set on fire. At least 11 people were murdered and 23 others were injured when suspected militants invaded the village of Khamelock in the Imphal East district late Tuesday night.

According to the authorities, additional fatalities are anticipated as several of the injured are reportedly in critical condition.
