Azerbaijan’s NAM presidency was tough 2023

Trend reports that the Azerbaijani chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) occurred during a difficult period, as stated by Dennis Sammut, Director of LINKS Europe, in his lecture at the international conference titled “From Bandung to Baku: The Non-Aligned Movement in a complex and changing global context.”

“Azerbaijan mobilized the member states during the COVID-19 pandemic,” It has succeeded admirably in empowering the Movement. Sammut stated that Azerbaijan’s leadership was crucial in such a difficult circumstance.

The international conference with the theme “From Bandung to Baku: the Non-Aligned Movement in a complex and changing global context” has begun in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

It is attended by representatives of think tanks and foreign ministries from NAM member states, representatives of the Azerbaijani government and diplomatic corps, as well as local specialists.
