Spokesman Warns Israeli Plot against Iran-Azerbaijan Ties 2023
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson denounced the Zionist regime’s attempts to deteriorate relations between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan and stated that Tehran pursues a policy of good neighborliness and the elimination of visa requirements for Azeri nationals.
Nasser Kanaani expressed astonishment on his Twitter account on Monday that the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan has advised its citizens against traveling to Iran.
“The president of the phony, child-murdering, occupying Zionist regime adopted the same policy during his recent visit to Baku,” Kanaani warned.
He emphasized that the people of the Azerbaijan Republic should fear the Zionist regime, not the Islamic and civilized Iran.
“Our policy continues to be the abolition of visa requirements and open arms for our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters,” the spokesman emphasized.

Iran adheres to the policy of good neighborliness within the framework of mutual respect and observance of neighborliness norms, according to his statement.
In April, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhoun Bayramov held two rounds of intensive talks on ways to resolve issues and clear up misunderstandings between the two countries, with both ministers emphasizing the significance of mutual respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both nations.
During the open and frank discussions, they shared their perspectives on the existing differences and misunderstandings, explored ways out of the current situation, and emphasized the importance of respecting good neighborly relations as well as the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both nations.
Referring to the conspiracy devised by the Zionist regime against the cohesion, security, and advancement of regional nations, Amirabdollahian asserted that only the region’s adversaries would benefit from regional disputes.
